BEDDING PLANTS
Specialty bedding plants: Bacopa, Bidens, Diascia, Dipladenia, Lantana, Verbena, Scaevola, White Heliotrope, Cascadia Petunia, Mandavilla, Chenille, Evolbulus Blue Daze, Helechrysum, Fuschia, Ivy Geranium, Portulaca, Rhodochiton Purple Bells, Asarina Mystic Pink, Nemophila Maculata. These unique species are available in 4" individual pots, hanging baskets and combined in coco and moss baskets.

Zonal Geraniums available this season: Reds: Tango, Daiblo, Americana Scarlet, American Dark Red, Eclipse Red, Kim Sincerity. Pinks: Americana Deep Rose, Americana Rose Splash, Americana Light Pink, Rio Brazil, Explosive, Bravo, Pink Expectations, Wilhelm Langguth. Violets: Fox, Veronica. Salmons: Montevideo, Evening Glow, Eclipse Salmon. Whites: North Star, Eclipse White, Americana White Splash.

Geraniums perform best in a sunny, but not hot location. My rule of thumb is: if it's too hot for you to tolerate the heat, your geranium won't either. They also benefit from weekly applications of a blossom booster fertilizer.

Tomatoes for your garden include flavorful heirloom varieties: Mr. Stripey, Brandywine, Cherokee Purple, Mortgage Lifter. Excellent garden varieties for performance, disease resistance and flavor include: OG50, Big Beef, Big Boy, Better Boy, Celebrity, Jet Star, Husky Gold, Fantastic, Supersonic, Super Sweet 100, Bonny Best, Roma and Yellow Pear.

Tomatoes benefit greatly from mulching. We suggest that once the soil temperature reaches 65-70° it is time to apply grass clippings, straw, wood chips, or even news papers. Mulching holds in soil moisture while keeping weeds down.
